there is also monthly plastics and tetra pack recycling at rec centres & the like- you can check pacificmobiledepots for dates & places closest to you
of course recycling creates it's own pollution & often these materials are shipped to the other side of the world.. but i guess it's still better than nothing... -

Sun, October 18, 2009 - 11:38 AMIf you can't get your computers down to a recycling center, contact the guys at www.electricbrains.com. They will actually pick up your old computer and computer components for free. They reuse whatever parts they can to build affordable computers and recycle the rest. I've always thought it was strange the Victoria computer recycling depots don't go through the computers that are dropped off and check for reusable parts.
I'm pretty sure they only charge a pick-up fee for CRT monitors. Everything else they pick up for free!
