i just discovered that spud.ca deliveries to Sooke now. has anyone used them? If so, what do you think of them, or of organic delivery services in general?
It's *reallllllly* appealing to me to be able to shop for groceries from my computer and have it delivered to my house. You get to choose what you want, their prices seem average, they seem to genuinely try to source local items (and mark it on their site as such, though 800km is a bit liberal for "local" if you ask me -- though you can click and find out exactly how far away the item came from.
Between spud.ca and the Raestar for my bulk legumes (I make my own soy milk now and it's wayyyy better... check soymilkquick.com), I may never need to set foot in a grocery store again.

Fri, June 6, 2008 - 10:22 AMI've used spud for about 8 weeks now and like it. But still not sure how it compares to the alternatives (such as organic selections at local stores) since I'm fairly new to the area.
If spud had a greater selection I wouldn't have to head to the store at all. As it is now, I order bulk items and produce from spud and head to the store for anything either cheaper than spud or that I don't mind having non-organic.
Since I'm usually at home when they deliver, I can put things away quickly. So even though they pack the items properly (ice bags, etc.), not sure about leaving the bin out all day.
The only thing I don't like about them (compared to another delivery service I used in another city), is they don't list the nutritional info and ingredients for items. I suppose that's not a major issue if you're familiar with the brands they carry or try them once. -

they sell all the leftovers veggy and fruits(from asparagus to mushroom into zucchini) , and some products such as:
soya milk(but since you make it yourself ...)
cheese,
juices ,
etchetera...!
for HALF price!!
good score on the quality for you my friend(with east Indian accent)
